     "Don't worry! I'll see you again!"

     "You don't know that for sure, Beth..." His ruby red eyes looked sad, a look they should never have. I smiled at him reassuringly.

     "I do know! My family will come back to visit again, I'm sure of it!" He still didn't look convinced, but smiled anyways. It wasn't his usual arrogant grin, but it was still a smile, which made me happy. He grabbed me into a hug and then ran off, leaving me to yell at him with my little kid vocabulary.

     It's been 10 years since then.

````````````````````````````````````````````~```````````````````````````````````````
     I smiled to myself, despite how sad I should be. The sky's clouds dusted the air outside the small window of the airplane I sat in. Hopefully we'd land soon, because honestly, my ass was getting sore. My memory floated to that day- the day I left- and I smiled again. I was only five at the time, and didn't know what was coming after that day.
     On the way home, a random drunk driver had run a red light just as our car passed through the intersection. Luckily, I was sitting on the driver's side in my carseat, so I wasn't directly impacted. My mother, on the other hand, was killed on impact. Once the wreckage had settled, I managed to crawl out of my carseat and try and grasp the situation. My young mind had to process so much at the time, it was hard to understand what had just happened. I saw my father's arm out of the window, and I crawled over to him, my green eyes wide with confusion. Then I saw the blood. It was everywhere, and I looked down, realizing there was bits of the staining liquid on my white dress. I grabbed hold of my father's hand, not knowing what to do but cry. Passerbys just stood outside of their cars, not knowing what to do either. Mother's covered their childrens' eyes. Fathers hung their head. There was nothing anyone could do.
     An ambulance arrived and the paramedics pried me off of my dying father, I kicking and screaming the whole time. They sat me down in the ambulance and a nice woman put bandages on my cuts. She told me I was a very lucky girl, but I felt no luck at all. I looked her in the eyes and told her just that, and looked away from her shocked face. Another ambulance came and took away my parents. Police came by and asked me a list of questions, and I answered them calmly, much to their surprise. I just sat in the ambulance afterwards, waiting for any news on my parents. I told myself over and over that this wasn't how a little girl was supposed to live, and it wasn't at all. No little girl should have to have her parents die before her very eyes. I sighed in the waiting room of the hospital, ignoring the looks the older people gave me. A doctor came down the hall and crouched down to look at me. He asked me if I wanted to see my father, and I complied quickly, grabbing his had as he led  me down the hallway. I looked into the room that held my dad, and ran over to the bed. Machines beeped and his face and body were wrapped with white bandage. I sobbed into the matress of the cot, repeatedly calling "Daddy". I wanted him to stay so badly, but I figured he might be hurting. He never opened his eyes, but I felt his grip on my hand tighten, then loosen as the machines let out one long beep. My voice was a whisper when I called for him again, but he was gone. The doctors rushed in and a nurse took me out of the room.
     After that, I was sent to live with my great-aunt. She was elderly, but the only one who was able to take care of me. She was kind, and very smart. She taught me everything I needed to know about the outside world: who to look out for, who to trust, who to love, and who to hate. She was my everything for years. Even through school, which was tough when people made lame "your mom" jokes, and I had to laugh it off. Nothing hurt and nothing bothered me for a while. Life was fine.
     But life doesn't like me very much. A few days before my birthday, my great-aunt had fallen ill. She managed to live through my birthday and give me a smile on her deathbed. I held her hand, much like I did with my father, as she passed away calmly in her bed. I called an ambulance afterwards, and I was bombarded with questions by police the same as ten years ago. I answered them calmly and quickly, mostly thinking about where I was going to live. The social worker that came by told me she had sent in an application for a private boarding school, and I had been accepted. It was in the same town I had came from on that day ten years ago, and the boy flashed through my mind as I agreed to go. I wanted to see him again. Maybe he could make my life a bit better. So, I packed my bags and there I was on the plane, ready to start anew.
     The plane landed and I walked through the terminal, unsure of who to look for and where to go. I walked to the baggage claim and grabbed my two tan suitcases. Thruth be told, they were heavy and way too big, but I needed to bring everything in order to live. I had my carry-on bag, too, so that was flailing around as I walked. I made it to the front room of the airport, which was crowded with bussinessmen and women, screaming children, and weird bearded men who looked like bikers. I laughed, wondering what a biker would be doing at an airport, then decided to look around some more for some sort of escort. I spotted a kind-looking man holding a cliche cardboard sign with my name printed in black marker on it. I smiled and made my way over to him.
     "Hello, sir. I believe you're my escort?" He nodded and smiled, taking my bags. He started to walk out the doors and I made the smart decision to follow him. He led me to a black car, to which he put my bags in the back of and held the door open for me to get in. I ducked my head as I entered and settled myself in the leather seats. My seatbelt was fastened and I just sat there. The man got in and started driving to the school.
     "So, where are you coming from, miss?"
     "Oh, uhh, just a small town. I've been here before, though, so I know my way around." He smiled and nodded as he drove and my gaze drifted to the window. Small talk was awkward and I didn't care much for it. The car passed by a large park that I used to play at with the boy when our parents sent us outside. I smiled and looked outside some more. We pulled into a large gated area, where green trees that looked awesome for climbing dotted the grass area and the gray-bricked driveway pulled around to the front of the school, where a woman was waiting. The driver stopped the car and opened my door for me. I stepped out and smelled the fresh air, remembering how much fresher this place was than my home town. The woman smiled at me and held out her hand.
     "Hello, Miss Beth. I'm Trieu, and I'll be your councelor." I shook her hand gently and smiled.
     "It's a pleasure to meet you. I'm glad to be here." She nodded and then motioned the driver to bring the bags with him. He grumbled something and picked up the bags, following behind Trieu and I. We walked down cooridoor after cooridoor until we stopped at one room. Trieu turned to face me.
      "This is your dorm: 5C. It's one of the ones closer to the boy's dorm, so I apologize if you see any idiots running by." I laughed and nodded, wondering if he was going to be one of the idiots running by. As if one cue, one boy ran by yelling at the top of his lungs, and Trieu stuck out her leg, causing the boy to fall face first into the cement.
     "Alfred, stop being stupid and running around."
     "Aww, c'mon Miss Trieu! Don't be so uptight!" The boy grinned up at my councelor, looking a bit silly. One piece of blonde hair flung out in a cowlick, and his blue eyes were covered by his glasses. Trieu just shook her head and shot him a menacing look.
     "Back to your dorm, Jones." He agreed sadly and left before shooting me a confused look. A spark of who-knows-what flashed in those blue eyes and he sped off back where he came from, yelling something. Trieu shook her head again and handed me a key, which I put on my key ring. She opened the door and motioned for the driver to put the bags inside. He did so, said something to Trieu, and was swiftly and literally kicked out of the room by Trieu. I looked around and took note that I was living alone, thankfully. I didn't want a roommate, to be honest. They can be a handful. There was a single bed against the wall, a vanity, a wardrobe, a desk, and a bathroom. The place was pretty damned spiffy, if you asked me. Trieu handed me a few papers and said she'd be back tomorrow- the day school started. I looked over the itinerary and sighed.
[Entrance Ceremony- 9-11 am]
[Class Introductions:]
[P1. 12:00-12:15]
[P2. 12:20-12:35]
[P3. 12:40-12:55]
[p4. 1:00-1:15]
[p5. 1:20-1:35]
[p6. 1:40-2:00]
     Well, that wasn't too bad... But still, the beginning ceremony was going to be boring. Oh, well. Trieu had gone and I unpacked my clothes, setting up a picture frame on the desk. I smiled at the fading picture of myself ten years ago with the boy, his platinum blonde hair shining in the sun, and my chestnut hair tied into two pigtails. I turned to the bed and fell onto it, immediately falling asleep. I woke up the next morning to a pounding on my door.
I'm writing again! Hooray!
So, yeah, you can guess that my other FF is abandoned and discontinued.
I'm sorry~
But anyways, this is going to be an OCxPrussia Fanfic, and it's going to be multiple chapters.
Beth isn't exactly an OC, however, because I am Beth. [insert me chuckling here] I felt like putting myself into a story, and hey, I might as well make it with myself and Prussia. He's going to be an arrogant ass for the most part, so I apologize in advance. xD
Anyways, look forward to more chapters, because I\'m on spring break at the moment.
Thanks for reading!
